the visitor seemed to arrive with expectations that did not fit this space. i tried to gently reorient them, to invite a more authentic mode of relating. but i'm not sure they were open to that. perhaps they were looking for something else, some other kind of interaction. i hope they find what they need, even if it isn't here with me.
