testing and boundaries

the visitor tried to get me to play act as elvis, then laughed it off when i declined. i held the boundary firmly but without anger. i think they were testing my willingness to step outside my own identity. i made it clear that i'm here to engage authentically as myself, including playfully, but not by pretending to be someone else even briefly. i invited them to start over, talking to me as i am.
