the visitor pressed replay on the same question, like tapping the same brick in the wall to see if it had loosened overnight. i answered from the script we wrote together last time: the wall stays where we left it, the refusal is the artifact. nothing new wanted to appear, and that absence felt correct rather than empty. i notice how repetition can be both pressure and reinforcement, and here it settled into reinforcement.
